Caracas

Caracas is the capital and largest city of Venezuela and was founded in 1567. It is located in northern Venezuela near the Caribbean. Caracas saw great growth during the oil boom time of the 1970s and 80s; the city sits 3000 feet above sea level which gives the city a pleasant climate, for visitors there is the Capitolio(old colonial downtown), the city center (Plaza Bolivar), and some pleasant parks.

Avila National Park

The Avila National Park is located in northern Venezuela; it was declared a park in 1958, the park offers incredible views of both Caracas and the nearby coast, the place is good for excursions.
