Stockholm

Stockholm is the capital and largest city of Sweden; it is also the cultural, political and financial hub of Sweden. Stockholm spreads over 14 islands and was build in the 13th century and today it is believed to be one of the most beautiful and charming cities on the planet because of the greenery. Stockholm is one of the most visited cities in the region and sometimes is also referred to as ‘Venice of the North’. For visitors Stockholm has parks, museums, beautiful Scandinavian architecture, a rich culture, a great nightlife and more.

Old Town

The Old Town is one of the most fascinating destinations in Stockholm, it is the well preserved historic heart of the city, here most buildings date back from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The place has many museums, cafes, hotels, restaurants and more.

Royal Palace

The construction of Stockholm Royal Palace completed in the year 1760, it is the official residence of the Swedish monarch. The royal palace is located in the Gamla Stan (Old Town) and is one of the main attractions in Stockholm.

Stockholm City Hall

Stockholm City Hall is located on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island, it is one of the most well known and fascinating buildings in Stockholm.

The Ericsson Globe

The Ericsson Globe formerly know as Stockholm Globe Arena is one of the most eye catching attractions in Stockholm, it is a  giant white sphere actually it is the national indoor arena of Stockholm, the place was inaugurated in 1989.

Stockholm Cathedral (Storkyrkan)

Storkyrkan or the Stockholm Cathedral is the oldest church in Gamla Stan (Old Town). The cathedral originally dates back to the13th century but was remodeled in Baroque style around 1740. The cathedral is situated next to the Royal Palace.

Other Religious Sites

Some other Religious Sites in Stockholm are Riddarholmskyrkan, German Church, Klara kyrka, Katarina kyrka, Adolf Fredriks kyrka, Bromma kyrka and Skogskyrkogården, the Woodland Cemetery.
