Colombo

Colombo is the largest city and the commercial capital of Sri Lanka; it is also the former administrative capital which was shifted to Jayawardenepura Kotte which is just adjacent to Colombo. Colombo is a bustling and vibrant city and the economic capital as it has a large harbor, commercial buildings, hotels and all. For visitors Colombo has many an attractions such as museums, historic buildings and churches, British fort and beautiful parks.

Colombo has many a museums and galleries and some of them are real good, the most famous one probably is the Colombo National Museum, others being The Natural History Museum, The Dutch Period Museum and The Bandaranaike Museum and some art galleries in Colombo are The National Art Gallery and The Lionel Wendt Center.

Galle Face Green

Galle Face Green is a half kilometer long promenade along the coast; the place is the largest open space in Colombo and a popular destination for locals, also here lies the top hotels of Colombo.
