Muscat
Muscat is the capital and the largest city of Oman, the city lies on the Arabian Sea along the Gulf of Oman and is also an important port. Lately lots of investment has gone into Muscat’s infrastructure and it’s development and hence Muscat has prospered. Attractions in Muscat range from parks like the Riyam Park, Kalbuh Park, to museums like the Bait az-Zubair Museum to Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace.

Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani fort
The Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani fort are two old Portuguese forts, the forts are located in Qasr Al Alam Street. The forts were built as prisons in 1580 but are now museums.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the third largest mosque on the planet, most of the mosque is open to Non-Muslims though be careful to dress sensibly and respect local culture, the mosque has great architecture and is a quiet a sight to watch especially at night.
