Male
Male is the capital city of the Maldives, it is the administrative center of the country, male is situated at the southern rim of North Male Atoll, the city is literally in the ocean. For visitors there are attractions like the mosque, beaches, the local fish market, few museums and more.

Grand Friday Mosque (Huskuru Miskiiy)
This is the most important and biggest mosque in Male, it was built in 1656 by Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar, the mosque has beautiful architecture and the dominant golden dome stands out, there is also an Islamic Centre in the premises, unfortunately non-Muslims are not allowed inside without prior permission.

Sultan Park and National Museum
The once Sultan Palace now houses the Maldivian National Museum and Park, this is One of the few green spaces which are available in Male, the place is quiet popular with locals.

Hulhumale Island
Hulhumale Island is a small boat ride away from Male; it is an artificial island which has some nice looking beach and a nice laid back atmosphere.
