Taipa Island

Taipa is one of the islands in Macau, it is divided into Greater Taipa and Lesser Taipa. Taipa lies between Macau Peninsular and Coloane island by is joined with Coloane island by the Cotai Strip and to Macau Peninsular by three bridges namely the Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho or Macau-Taipa Bridge, Ponte de Amizade or Friendship Bridge and the Ponte de Sai Van (Sai Van Bridge). Taipa has seen massive growth and development lately also The Macau International Airport is built off the north-eastern end of Taipa. For visitors there are attractions such as casinos, churches, Taoist and Buddhist temples.

Museums

There are two interesting museums in Taipa Island namely the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History and the Taipa Houses Museum; both museums have some good artifacts to explore.
