Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya lies on the river Nairobi. This cosmopolitan city offers what no other African city can, the city is bustling with high rise buildings, nice theaters, expensive restaurants, modern technology, pubs, discos and what not. The city is also famous for its varied wildlife and pleasant landscape.

The Nairobi National Park is situated just outside the city and is one of the major attractions for visitors. Grass lands, dry highland forests, stretches of broken bush, rock valleys, deep gorges and a permanent river is what the park is made of. The park is home to the most exotic wildlife. Tourists can find Zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, giraffe, lion, cheetah, rhino and more than 400 species of birds. The Nairobi Safari Walk educates visitors on wildlife conservation. The animal orphanage is also accommodated in the park.

The museum is a must see for every visitor. It houses cultural and national exhibits. Prehistoric artifacts, stuffed birds and animals, fossils from Lake Turkana, artistic exhibits by local artisans and portraits of tribal by Joy Adamson are some of the attractions. The early man section of the museum includes bones and pre historic era.

The Snake Park

The black mamba, puff ader and Nile crocodiles are just a few of the more than hundred species of deadly reptiles that can be viewed through glass cages at the Snake Park is situated adjacent to The National Museum.

Uhuru Gardens

Uhuru gardens are a monument dedicated to the freedom struggle. The 24 meter high monument and musical fountain is not worth missing. You can drop by on the way to the airport as it located near Wilson Airport.

Giraffe Manor

Giraffe Manor

This is the only place in the world where a giraffe joins you for breakfast. Enjoy the finest cuisine served by friendly staff while you feed and photograph the giraffes.

Nairobi Railway Museum

Nairobi Railway Museum
