Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and a fascinating historic city, the city is sacred for three faiths namely Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Jerusalem was believed to be established 3000 years ago by King David hence making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Jerusalem is also known as ‘City of Gold’. Jerusalem is divided into three sections: the Old City, New City (West Jerusalem) and East Jerusalem, the old city is on UNESCO world heritage site list. Jerusalem is a unique place with the mixture of old and new. For visitors Jerusalem can be Israel’s modern capital or a ancient holy city or both.

The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens was opened for public in 1985. the gardens are located in the neighborhood of Nayot. The garden is divided into different sections featuring fauna from different parts of the planet.
