Belfast
Belfast is a vibrant city with a rich history; it is the second largest city on the island of Ireland. The name Belfast means ‘Mouth of the (River) Farset’ in Irish. Belfast dates back to the Middle Ages, today is one of the major hubs of industries, arts, education and business in Ireland. Belfast is served by two airports namely The Belfast International Airport and The George Best Belfast City Airport also Belfast has a major seaport. Belfast has a variety of activities both outdoor and indoor for visitors to indulge in.

Belfast City Hall
The Belfast City Hall was finished in 1906 and was built to reflect Belfast’s city status, granted by Queen Victoria in 1888; it is one of the most important landmarks in the Belfast city centre. Belfast City Hall has beautiful architecture which resembles city hall in Durban, South Africa and Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, India.

Saint Anne's Cathedral
The Saint Anne's Cathedral is a stunning cathedral, it is also known as Belfast Cathedral. The cathedral is located at the centre of the ‘Cathedral Quarter’ and the cathedral was consecrated on June 2, 1904.

Titanic Boat Tour
The ill-fated Titanic was built in Belfast in which the locals take pride and hence one can take a boat tour around the area that the ship was built.

Botanical Gardens
The botanical gardens of Belfast is quiet popular among tourists and locals alike, a good place to chill out, the gardens have a wide variety of plants including carnivorous plants, also there is the Ulster Museum in the Botanic Gardens.

Belfast Zoo
Belfast Zoo has a very good variety of animals; the zoo has more than 1200 animals and 140 species including elephants, bears, birds, giraffes and lions. The prairie dogs are of particular interest, as their tunnels extend throughout the park.

Belfast Castle
Belfast Castle is situated on Cave Hill, the castle dates from 1870 and was restored in 1988. The castle has beautiful architecture and the position 400 feet above sea level helps the castle provide an unobstructed view of the city of Belfast.
