Long Island

Long Island is the most scenic island in the Bahamas, it is a 80-mile stretch of contrasting coastlines, Long Island is divided by the Tropic of Cancer, the original name of Long Island was ‘Yuma’, Long Island is bordered by two very different coasts soft beaches on the west coast and rocky cliffs rise from the shore on the east. Visitors enjoy sailing, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling and relaxing on fine beaches here, locals are mostly into fishing but tourism and farming are also important sources of income. Cape Santa Maria Beach which is listed in the top most beautiful beaches in the world is on the Long Island.
