Halong Bay
Halong Bay is another beautiful & major attraction, the name means Bay of the Descending Dragons; it is designated as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1994, the place is full of natural beauty, the bay has around 3000 islands with calm waters and white sandy beaches, here one can swim, explore virgin caves, enjoy kayaking, snorkeling and hiking.

Hoan Kiem Lake
Hoan Kiem Lake is located in the center of town, it is a pleasant park and is quiet famous among the locals, the name Hoan Kiem means ‘returned sword’, and it is named so because of the legend which states that King Le Loi was given a magical sword by the Gods.

The Temple of Literature
The Temple of Literature was the first university in Hanoi, it was established in 1070 and the courtyard here has numerous stone tablets, each mounted on the back of a tortoise with names of graduates from here.
