New York City is a city in the State of New York and is the most populous city in the United States of America. The city’s business, finance, trading, law and media organizations are quite influential around the globe. The city has a very rich heritage with innumerable world-class museums, galleries and performance venues. The city is comprised of five Boroughs: - The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. New York has the highest population density of any major city in North America, with over 8.1 million people residing within an area of 322 square miles. The city’s metropolitan area has a population of 18.8 million and ranks among the largest urban areas in the world. New York City has been a dominant global financial center since World War II. It is also the birthplace of many American cultural movements. By 2005, nearly 36 percent of its population was foreign born and 170 languages were spoken in the city. New York City is a great place to be, however, it would be an injustice not to menton the nightlife in the city. No doubt New York City has a reputation of being a dangerous place after dark, but that does not stop the New Yorkers from having fun at night. Places like Copacabana, Café Wha, B.B King Blues Club, Audrey Saunders So Ho and many such clubs, pubs, martini bars, cocktail bars are the most happening places at night which makes the New Yorkers thump and sway all night long enjoying life to the fullest.
