TURKMENISTAN

Turkmenistan is largely covered with deserts, the tourism sector of Turkmenistan has just started to develop and still has a long way to go as still the majority of the land is barren deserts, the culture, the carpets and the horses are probably the things which interests a potential traveler, there are also some sightseeing opportunities but the border with Afghanistan should be avoided as it is volatile and security situation is not very merry, Ashgabat is the capital city of Turkmenistan and the other major destination is Merv.
