Ankara

Ankara is the capital and the second largest city in Turkey, the city became capital of Turkey in the year 1923. Ankara is an ancient city founded in 2000 BC; the city is located in the center of the country on a hill. Anıtkabir

Anıtkabir meaning memorial tomb is situated on a hill in the Anittepe quarter of the city, the monument was completed in 1953 and is dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first president of the Turkey.
