Damascus

Damascus is the capital and largest city of Syria; it is also one of the oldest cities on the planet, Damascus is a bustling city with river Barada playing an important role in it’s well being. The city has a lot to offer to it’s visitors like it’s markets, shrines, mosques, Hammam (Turkish bath) and more.

Old City Center

The old city and the old city center are probably the best attraction in Damascus, the old city is ssurrounded by walls and is a UNESCO world heritage sit, the place has many old churches like Cathedral of Damascus, Virgin Mary's Cathedral and more and many Islamic structures and mosques like the Sayyidah Zaynab Mosque, Sayyidah Ruqayya Mosque and more.

Omayyad Mosque

There are many mosques in Damascus and one of the most important one is the Omayyad Mosque, the mosque is surrounded by high walls and has beautiful Islamic architecture.

Museums

Damascus has some good museums, the primarily one being the National Museum, here one can learn more about the history of the place and enjoy some interesting exhibits.
