Albina is a town in Suriname about 150 kilometers from Paramaribo and can be reached by bus; most of Albina was destroyed in wars and Maroon rebellions in the 1980s - 1990s. Albina lies on the west bank of the Marowijne river (Maroni river).
Reserves
Albina is famous for it’s quality reserves, natural beauty and protected wildlife, some of the top reserves are Central Suriname Nature Reserve (CSNR), Raleighvallen Nature Reserve, Brownsberg, Galibi Nature Reserve.
