Khartoum

Khartoum is the capital and second largest city of Sudan. The name Khartoum means 'Elephant's trunk', the city is located at the confluence of the White Nile and the Blue Nile, the location where the two Niles meet is known as ‘al-Mogran’, the city was founded in 1821 as an Egyptian army camp but soon developed as a trade center and slave market.

Sudan National Museum

Sudanese Museum was founded in 1971 and today it is one of the main attractions of Sudan. The museum has a rich variety of artifacts from Egypt and Sudan. The National Museum of Sudan is the largest museum in Sudan.

Souq Arabi

Souq Arabi meaning the Arabian market is place with lots of hustle and bustle, Souq Arabi is the commercial heart of town, the market is huge and spread over several squares.

Dinder National Park

The Dinder National Park is about 300 miles south of Khartoum, it is a medium sized facility established in 1935, at present there are about 200 species of animals, birds, fishes and reptiles like Lions, monkeys, giraffes, leopards, bushbucks, kudu and antelope.
