Khartoum

Khartoum is the capital and second largest city of Sudan. The name Khartoum means 'Elephant's trunk', the city is located at the confluence of the White Nile and the Blue Nile, the location where the two Niles meet is known as ‘al-Mogran’, the city was founded in 1821 as an Egyptian army camp but soon developed as a trade center and slave market.

Dinder National Park
