Madrid

Madrid the capital and largest city of Spain is an ever active city. Madrid on one hand is home to mountain peaks rising above 2,000m and low lying plains and in other hand and its well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments that the city has embraced. Madrid City is flourished with various idiosyncratic museums. The bars, pubs, restaurants and various traditional performances all over the city make the night life of the city bustling and dazzling.

Plaza Puerta del Sol

The Plaza Puerta del Sol is the right place to start the explorative Madrid visit. This bustling, centrally located square is one of the city's most lively places. A 20 ton statue of a bear eating fruits from a tree resembles the symbol of Madrid. This place has lots of story to the visitors giving them information as well s excitement. This place was itself a city 500 years back and today contains a number of well known sights associated both domestically and internationally with Spain.

The Palacio Real or Royal Palace

The Palacio Real is one of the finest and extremely impressive palaces in Europe. The palace comprises of 840 windows, 240 balconies, 44 sets of stairs and 110 doors. The key attractions are King Carlos III’s private Rococo décor apartments, the grand throne room and the banquet hall seating up to 140 for state dinners. The Royal Pharmacy, the Library, and the Royal Armoury are a must visit places.

Prado Museum

Prado Museum is a paradise for all the art lovers in the world as it halts the most expansive collections of variety of works. The museum exhibits paintings by many of world famous artists such as Goya, Velázquez, Murillo, El Greco, Ribera, Titian, Boticelli, Tintoretto etc. The museum also contains various decorative arts, a cafe, bookshop, souvenir shop, conference room, and reference library.

Temple Of Debod

The Temple of Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple in Madrid. The temple built in the 4th Century B.C. is dedicated to the gods Amon and Isis. It constitutes one of the few works of ancient Egyptian architecture which can be seen outside Egypt and the only one of its kind in Spain. This temple also has a great and interesting history on its shoulders which is depicted in the form of a small exhibition in the temple.

Real Jardín Botanico

Real Jardín Botánico is a botanical garden located on the banks of the beautiful river Manzanares. The garden exhibits a wide variety of plants from all 5 continents which includes more than 30000 different species in total. The attractive landscape gardens rejuvenated the visitors while they wander and it is a real pleasure as it joins us with the nature.

Parque del Buen Retiro

Parque del Buen Retiro is a one time private gardens of royalty and today the Retiro Park is open to all without charge. The park's gardens provide a welcome change of pace for the visitor to Madrid. The park also has three art galleries, Casa de Vacas, Palacio de Cristal and Palacio de Velázquez. During weekends and holidays the park is filled with various performances by Madrid citizens such as mime artists and jugglers, painters, singers, puppet masters and fortune-tellers. In addition there is a boat lake where the visitors can have a boat ride.
