Honiara is the capital of the Solomon Islands and of Guadalcanal Province, Honiara has the only international airport in the Solomon Islands i.e. Henderson Field hence Honiara becomes the important destination for entry and exit into Solomon Islands, for visitors and history buffs Honiara contains a wealth of World War 2 sites, local markets and dive sites.
