Freetown

Freetown is the capital and largest city of Sierra Leone, the city was founded in 1787, today the city is the nation's administrative, cultural and economic center and also a major port on the Atlantic Ocean. Freetown has a great nightlife, amazing markets, a great hilly landscape and also when in Freetown you are never far away from the beach, for visitors there are attractions such as the Cotton Tree, Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Charlotte falls, St John's Maroon Church, Foulah Town Mosque, Slave Gate and Portuguese Steps.

Beaches

If one wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city there are always some quality beaches in Freetown namely the Lakka Beach, Toke Beach and the Lumley Beach.

Museums

Freetown has some good museums namely the Sierra Leone Museum, National Rail museum and more, here one can learn a great deal about the culture and history of Freetown.
