Dakar

Dakar is the capital and the largest city of Senegal, it is a pleasant city located on the Cape Verde Peninsula, Dakar is the administrative centre, home to the National Assembly of Senegal and Senegal Presidential Palace. For visitors Dakar has some good museums and a few historic remains, Dakar also has some great African markets, a decent nightlife and beaches.

Goree Island (Ile de Goree)

Goree Island is a small island off the coast of Dakar, the island is famous because of it’s role in the slave trade, there is a museum on the Island where one can learn about the horrific history of the place.
