Ponce was founded in 1692 by Loíza Ponce de Leon and today it is the second largest city in Puerto Rico, Ponce has many beautiful neoclassical buildings and facades and nearly one half a billion dollars have been spent preserving the colonial core of Ponce which has some glorious fountains, churches and plazas.

Ponce Museum of Art is an impressive museum with the most extensive art collection in the Caribbean; the museum was designed by Edward Durrell Stone. The museum houses more than 1,000 paintings and 400 sculptures, including the finest collection of European works in the Caribbean.

La Guancha Paseo Tablado

La Guancha Paseo Tablado is a fun stop; the board walk was built in the mid-1990s, the boardwalk overlooks the yacht harbor and features a concert pavilion, an observation tower, many restaurants and bars, and a public beach.

Parque de Bombas
