Asuncion

Asuncion is the capital and the biggest city of Paraguay, Asuncion is a city of contrasts and has a great mix of old and new, rich and poor. Asuncion was developed along the river bank and today it is the travel hub of the country with many beautiful colonial buildings, nice parks, great presidential palace, modern buildings, Botanical Garden (jardin botanico) and much much more.

National Pantheon of Heroes

National Pantheon of Heroes is a memorial to the fallen soldiers; construction began in 1864 and was completed in 1936.

Plaza de la Independencia

Plaza de la Independencia is where in 1811 declaration of independence from Spain happened. Here you can also see the Palacio Legislativo and the Catedral Metropolitana.

Museo de Bellas Artes

Museo de Bellas Artes is the museum of fine arts; the place has a good collection of a collection of paintings and sculpture.
