Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar is the capital and largest city of Mongolia, it is also known as Ulan Bator, Ulaanbaatar is located in the north central part of the country, the city was founded in 1639 as a Buddhist monastery center and it lies at an elevation of about 1310 m in a valley on the Tuul River. Ulaanbaatar is connected to Trans-Siberian Railway and Chinese railroad network.

Monastery
Ulaanbaatar has it’s share of beautiful Monasteries like the Gandan Khiid, Chojin Monastery and more, Gandan Khiid is the city's main monastery.

Natural History Museum
A great place to learn about the history of Mongolia, the museum has some good and interesting artifacts like the huge collection of expertly stuffed animals, and massive dinosaur skeletons from the Gobi desert.

Sukhbaatar Square
Sukhbaatar Square is named after and features a statue of Damdin Sükhbaatar, leader of Mongolia's 1921 revolution, the square also has a seated statue of Chinggis Kahn, major buildings on the square include the Government House, the Golomt Bank, the Central Post Office and the Culture Palace.

Zaisan Tolgoi
Zaisan Tolgoi is a war memorial located on a hill near the city, it is dedicated in memory of the Russian and Mongolian heroes who fought during WWI and WWII. Also there is a Buddhist statue located near the Zaisan Tolgoi.
