Timbuktu

Timbuktu is a city on the Niger River in Mali. Timbuktu is a impoverish city primarily made of mud, Timbuktu is a very intriguing place which is also on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list, since 1988, Timbuktu is rich in Islamic culture and history.

Mosques

There are three main mosques in Timbuktu, the Djingareiber Mosque, Sankoré mosque and the Sidi Yéhia Mosque, non Muslims are not allowed to enter few of these mosques, Djingareiber Mosque is a world heritage site with an impressive minaret and architecture.
