Djenne

Djenné is a small city in central Mali, though Djenné is small it is historically and commercially important city, Djenné is the oldest known city in sub-Saharan Africa which is famous for its mosque also the historic city center is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Grande Mosque

The Grande Mosque was originally built in 1220 and rebuilt in 1907. is the largest mud-brick building in the world, it looks like a magnificent sand castle, Non-Muslims cannot go inside the Mosque.
