Ohrid

Ohrid is a city in Macedonia; it is located on the eastern shore of Lake Ohrid, the town has a rich history and heritage and hence was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1980, the place also has abundant natural beauty and also picturesque houses and monuments. Churches are the biggest draw for visitors in Ohrid other than that there are also many attractions such as the lake, Ohrid Fortifications, King Samoil Fortress, Zeynel Pasha Teke and more.

Ohrid is around the world for it’s wonderful churches, it is believed that Ohrid once had 365 churches, one for each day of the year. There are numerous ancient churches, basilicas, and monasteries the best ones being St. Sophia church, St. Bogorodica Perivlepta, St. John Kaneo church, St. Pantelejmon – Plaoshnik, St. Nikola Bolnički & St. Bogorodica Bolnička, St. Erazmo early Christian church and more.

Old Bazaar

The Old Bazaar of Ohrid is a big but simple market in Ohrid, here one can explore the local culture and probably buy souvenirs.
