Vilnius
Vilnius is the capital and the largest city of Lithuania, it is a very pleasant and very beautiful city, the city is home to the President, the Seimas, the Government and the Supreme Court. Diplomatic missions and more, Vilnius has great architecture because of it’s interesting history.

Old Town
The Old Town of Vilnius is one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Northern Europe, the Old town has many interesting streets, lanes and buildings and because of its unique architecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is very relaxing to have a stroll around the old town and enjoy the beauty of Vilnius.

Gediminas Tower of the Upper Castle
The Tower stands on a 48-metre high hill. At the end of the 14th century a castle stood there consisting of a keep surrounded by a wall with a gate and 3 towers. Only the western (Gediminas') tower and some ruins of defensive wall survived.

The Gates of Dawn
Pope John Paul II prayed here in 1993, originally it formed part of the town fortifications. In 1671 Carmelites from St. Teresa's built a chapel in the gates to house a holy image of the Virgin Mary, today it is the only surviving gate of the original ten gates in the city wall built in the beginning of 16th century.

Churches
There are many churches in Vilnius, some of which are really beautiful and interesting with awesome architecture, some of them are The Church of St Nicholas which is the oldest churches in Lithuania it was built in the 14th century, The Church of St Peter and St Paul this church was built in the 17th century, The Church of St Michael the Archangel and more.

Vilnius is a city with a rich history and culture which can be felt and learned at the museums in the city namely the KGB Museum, Higher (Upper) Castle Museum and the
National Museum.
