Ghadhames

Ghadhames is in Libya about 400 miles southwest of Tripoli and is a traditional desert village with traditional desert architecture which makes it an interesting stop. Ghadhames is the southern limit of civilization before the terrain is taken over by the Sahara sands, Ghadhames is also known as ‘Pearl of the Desert ’. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ras al- Ghoul (Haunted Hill)

Ras al- Ghoul or the Haunted Hill is at a 15km (10mi) drive outside of Ghadhames, once here one can enjoy a panoramic view of desert, the destination has ruins from the Roman Era, also there’s a lake nearby that’s popular for swimming and picnics.

Dan Magrumah House (The House Museum)

The House Museum or the Dan Magrumah House is not a museum in the traditional sense, it is an old merchant's house with its original furnishings and decorations, it is situated on the western entrance of the old town
