Pyongyang is the capital city of North Korea, it is located in the northwest of the country on the Taedong River, the city was split from the South Pyongan province in 1946.

The Statue of the Kim Il-Sung stand 20 meters tall and is made of bronze and is situated at Mansudae. The statue is erected by the Leader himself, be aware that the locals expect visitors to this place to take it all very seriously and show respect to the monument.

The Pyongyang Metro is the deepest metro system in the world at over 110 metres, construction of the metro network started in 1968.

The Juche Tower

The Juche Tower is a 170-meter tall monument dedicated to the Juche philosophy of Kim Il Sung, the tower was comleted in 1982 and is directly opposite to Kim Il Sung Square.

The Arch of Triumph

The Arch of Triumph

The Arch of Triumph was designed to commemorate Korean resistance to Japan between 1925 and 1945 and eventual liberation from Japanese rule. The Arch of Triumph stands at 60m high and 50m wide which makes it the biggest arch in the world.

Victorious Fatherland Liberation Museum

Korean War Museum & USS Pueblo
