Georgetown

Georgetown is the capital and largest city of Guyana; it is also the chief port of the country as it is situated on the Atlantic Ocean coast. The city is also nicknamed 'Garden City of the Caribbean'. For visitors there are attractions like the historical buildings with colonial architecture which have wooden construction.

St. George's Cathedral

The cathedral was built in 1842 and is 43-meter high which makes it one of the tallest wooden structures in the world; the cathedral was designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield and opened on 24 August 1892.
