Bissau

Bissau is the capital and the largest city of Guinea-Bissau, Bissau is located on the Geba River estuary, off the Atlantic Ocean and hence is a major port. Bissau is an autonomous city whose borders are conterminous with the Bissau Region. The city is served by the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport. For visitors there is the annual carnival and attractions such as Fortaleza d'Amura barracks containing Amílcar Cabral's mausoleum, the Pidjiguiti Memorial, Guinea-Bissau National Arts Institute, Bissau New Stadium and local beaches.
