Guatemala City

Guatemala City is the capital and the largest city of Guatemala, the city is located in a large valley dominated by the Agua Volcano and is split in about 20 Zonas, Guatemala City has a cosmopolitan feel to it, the city is served by a modem international airport hence Guatemala City is usually the entry and exit point for visitors to Guatemala, there is a lot for visitors to do and see in Guatemala City like the numerous parks, markets, museums, theaters and art galleries.

National Palace and the Cathedral

National Palace and the Cathedral is one of the few buildings to survive the devastating earthquakes of 1917 – 1918, one needs to pre-book a tour here, on the other side there is a Cathedral (1782-1815) with a beautiful neoclassical architecture.
