Batumi

Batumi is in the southwest Georgia close to the border with Turkey, it is the capital of the autonomous republic of Ajara, Batumi was formerly known as Batum is an important economic center today of Georgia because of it’s large port and commercial center. Batumi is a small but pleasant city with some stony beaches. Daytrips can be made to Gonio, Sarpi from Batumi. For visitors there are attractions such as the Nurigeli Lake, Oceanariu, Beach Park, churches, old mosque and the Black Sea

Botanical Gardens

The Batumi Botanical Garden are probably the best destination in Batumi, the gardens are more than a century old and are located next to the Black Sea on a high cliff.
