Torshavn

Torshavn is the capital of the Faroe Islands, the city was founded in the 10th century, Torshavn is the smallest capital city in the world, Torshavn today blends the historical and picturesque with all the features of a modern city, the town and the surroundings areas are ideal for window-shopping and pleasant strolls, there is also museums, discotheques, cinemas, live theatre, exhibitions, sport facilities, parks, and, shopping around the town.

Torshavn Cathedral

Torshavn Cathedral was first built in 1788 and partly rebuilt in 1865, it is the second oldest received church of the Faroe Islands. Since 1990 it has been the seat of the Bishop of the Faroe.
