Quito is the capital city of Ecuador, it was the first city to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Quito was founded in 1534 on the ruins of an ancient Inca city, Quito is the perfect place to begin exploring Ecuador, Quito is the second most populous city in Ecuador, after Guayaquil. Visitors can indulge is sightseeing, shopping, hiking ans more in Quito, Quito has a constant, mild to cool climate.

Teleferico is the world's second-highest cable car. It's located on the eastern flanks of the Pichincha Volcano which overlooks the whole city.

Mitad del Mundo is a large monument it is 30-meter-tall monument, built between 1979 and 1982, it was constructed to mark the point where the equator was thought to pass through the country at the time.
