Amalienborg Palace

This outstanding piece of Rococo architecture is the winter residence of the royal couple of Denmark. Amalienborg comprises of four mansions, these mansions came into the possession of the royal family in 1794 after the fire at Christiansborg Castle. The palace is guarded round the clock.

The Tivoli Gardens is a beautiful park founded in 1843. Pretty lanterns decorate the trees, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. This amusement park is a favorite among tourists. The park houses high-class restaurants, hosts music concerts and stages theater.

The Viking Ship Museum

Around 30 kilometers from Copenhagen, at the foot of the Roskilde Fjord stands the Viking Ship Museum .The museum was built to house and reconstruct five ships that were rescued from the harbor in 1962. An artificial island built close to the museum is used to conduct archaeological workshops and educational seminars.

Stroget is the longest pedestrian street in the world and the largest shopping area in Copenhagen. Top brand names like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Boss and Chanel line the Kgs. Nytorv end of the street. Further down the street one will find the best value for money buys.
