Monteverde

Monteverde is a small town in Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Butterfly Gardens

The Monteverde Butterfly Gardens facility also known as Mariposario is spread over 3 acres, here one can get a general overview of spiders and insects, The garden was founded in 1989 by biologist Jim Wolfe and his wife Marta Iris, the garden is open 365 days a year.

The Cheese Factory is located in the heart of the Monteverde Community and a trip to the factory store is a must, Monteverde cheese is acclaimed throughout Costa Rica and has become a part of Monteverde’s culture.
