Bogota
Bogota was formerly called Santa Fe de Bogota, it is the capital city of Colombia, it is also the largest and most populous city in the country, most of the sights of the city are in the historic central neighborhood of La Candelaria. Downtown Bogota is filled with shops, business offices, cafés, and the banking district, if one is interested in experiencing the culture of a South American city, Bogota is the place to be.

Museums
There are some very beautiful and exiting museums in Bogota, the top two are probably the Gold Museum (Museo de Oro) and the Museo Nacional, Gold Museum (Museo de Oro) is dedicated to gold artifacts while Museo Nacional has variety of exhibits.

Cathedral of salt of Zipaquira (Catedral de Sal Zipaquira)
The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira is an underground church built in a tunnel of salt mines, the temple at the bottom has three sections, representing the birth, life, and death of Jesus.

One can get awesome view of the Bogota from Mount Monserrate, one can either go up the mountain on a cable cars or walk.
