Brasilia
Brasilia, the capital city of Brazil was built between 1856 and 1960 during President Juscelino Kubitschek’s government. The city has plenty of open green space and fresh air. Brasilia is a singular city without doubt, it is different from other cities that are considered modern and planned. Catedral Metropolitana
The Cathedral looks quite small from the outside but as you enter you realize that you are standing in one of the biggest and most spacious churches in the world. The church’s interior is bright with white marble walls and floors with an expanse of intricately stained glass overhead. Divine sculptures of angels are suspended from the ceiling and four statues of apostles stand just outside the cathedral.

TV Tower
The TV Tower offers the best view of the city and moreover it does not cost a penny. An elevator takes you 240 feet high and places the city at your feet. A fiery red Brazilian sunset is not to be missed. You can catch the best view of the Eixo monument and other ministry buildings from the TV Tower.

Espaco Luca Costa
Urban planner and architect, Luco Costa is the one who gave Brasilia its design and shape. The Espaco Luca Costa is a space, sunken beneath the surface of the square and contains the full model of the city of Brasilia. It is the second only to the TV Tower to catch a bird’s eye view of the city’s plan.

Memorial JK.
This remarkable monument was built as a tribute to the founder of Brasilia, Juscelino Kubitshek, in the year 1980.The President’s remains is placed on the second floor, beneath a skylight in a granite tomb. JK’s medals, suits and ribbons can also be found in this monument. Interesting stuff about Brasilia like old photographs taken during construction, rejected plans, etc makes the visit to this memorial worthwhile.

Palacio do Itamaraty
The Placio do Itamaraty now serves as the reception hall for the Foreign Affairs Department .It is the one of the most exquisite modern buildings with a landscape to match. Its interiors and exteriors compete with each other for the tourist’s attention. The ultra modern building has a lot of open space. Antique artifacts, Persian rugs, intricately carved furniture and 18th century paintings give the structure a majestic look.

Lake Paranoa
Rio Paranoa has been dammed to form a large, beautiful lake .The lake is on the east side of the city. The Olympic center, Palace of the Dawn, embassies, consulates, sports clubs, restaurants, and the official residence of the president and many other important buildings surround the lake.
