Sarajevo

Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo is located in the Sarajevo valley of Bosnia, it is surrounded by the Dinaric Alps which is situated around the Miljacka river. The city of Sarajevo is unit of local self-governance, which consists of four city municipalities: Old City, Center, New City and New Sarajevo.

Sarajevo Brewery

Sarajevo Brewery: One of the most attractive buildings in Sarajevo, the brewery was build in 1864 during the Ottoman era. The Sarajevo Brewery is across the river, the architectural style is a combination between oriental and classic European design.

Gazi Husrev Beg Mosque

The Gazi Husrev-Beg Mosque is often known as Beg's Mosque it is one of the best-preserved examples of Ottoman architecture in the world, it was built in the year 1531 and is considered the most important Islamic structures in the country.

Museums

There are a number of museums in Sarajevo like the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum, National Museum and Bosnian Historical Museum, the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum shows the tunnel which was used to ferry supplies into the besieged city during the conflict and is next to the airport.

Cathedral of Jesus' Sacred Heart

The Cathedral of Jesus' Heart is the largest cathedral in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also known as the "Sarajevo Cathedral". It stands on a small square just outside the old Ottoman bazaar area of the city, the building was damaged during the Siege of Sarajevo, but was not completely destroyed, and the damage has since been fixed. The building is often used as a symbol of the city.

Vrelo Bosna

Vrelo Bosna is a beautiful mountain spring is the head of the Bosna River. It is the source of the river Bosna, and one of the country's top natural landmarks, Vrelo Bosne is found on the outskirts of Sarajevo.

Igman Olympic Ski Jump Things

Igman is still one of Sarajevo's leading tourist attractions, it is beautiful surrounded by forests, the two jumps at the Igman Mountain at Sarajevo were built for the Olympic Winter Games 1984, the mountainside is a great place for a picnic and hiking.
