Ghent

Ghent is the third biggest city in Belgium today, during medieval time Ghent was one of the richest and most powerful cities in Europe and still today it is an important city as it is a growing city with a port and a university. Ghent is also famous for ‘Ghent Fests’ which is a ten day long street festival. For visitors there are attractions ranging from it’s architectural wealth, to Counts' castle, to museums, to markets and more.

Saint Nicholas' Church

The Saint Nicholas' Church is one of the most prominent landmarks in Ghent, the construction of the church began in the early 1200s, Saint Nicholas' Church has beautiful architecture and is one of the oldest in Ghent.

Vrijdagmarkt (Friday Market)

Vrijdagmarkt or the Friday Market is on an acre of land, the center square here has played a major role in the history of the city.
