Antwerp is the capital of the Antwerp province in Belgium; it is the second largest city of the country. Antwerp is famous as the diamond center of the World as more than 70% of all diamonds are traded in Antwerp hence Antwerp is an important city economically, also it has the second largest harbor in Europe. Rubenshuis is Rubens' house and now a museum dedicated to his life and artwork. A must visit for all art lovers, the building was designed by Rubens himself and he spent most of his lifetime in this palace.

Antwerp Zoo
Antwerp Zoo is located in the centre of Antwerp; the zoo was established on July 21, 1843 thus making it the oldest zoo in Belgium and one of the oldest in the world. Antwerp Zoo houses over 5,000 animals of about 950 species. It is one of the must visit destinations in Antwerp.

Cathedral of Our Lady
The Cathedral of Our Lady is one of the most impressive attractions in Antwerp; the cathedral replaced a Romanesque church built in the 12th century. The cathedral has one of the finest gothic buildings in Europe and also houses magnificent Rubens’ artworks.

City Hall and Old Market Square
The City Hall was erected between 1561 and 1565 on the western side of the Great Market Square, the city hall is build with a combination of both Gothic and early renaissance architectural styles, also the market square is the historical centre of town and has many typical medieval guild houses and architecture around.
