The track which leads to the Base camp of Mount Everest is full of beautiful views and adventures. Here, you will come across glaciers, clouds moving around you, snow covered peaks, fast flowing water streams and lush green patches.
The trek to Everest Base Camp doesn’t require you to be a seasoned trekker or mountaineer but if one are not experienced in trekking or hiking then it is advisable to use services of some tour operator. The best season to trek for Mount Everest starts in early May and ends in late August. One can either find a tour operator in Nepal who can arrange the trip or one can make arrangement themselves. One can easily find a tour operator on the web or when in Nepal who can arrange the tour within ones own budget and time frame.
After reaching Katmandu one will have to fly to town of Lukla, from here one starts the trek. The trek to Mount Everest base camp takes 14 days but it can be adjusted a bit according to ones schedule. One will come across number of old villages with nice Sherpa people along the route thus giving one a chance to see a rich civilization and traditions of these people. To reach base camp one has to hike for 5 to 6 hrs followed by some rest. Once at the base camp one can reflect on the journey and meet top mountaineers who probably plan on trying to climb the Mount Everest.
