China has become a favorite tourist destination lately especially because of it’s distinct culture, the culture of China is so different and so vast from any other race or country on the planet that one can make new discoveries whenever one visits this country. There are many tourist destinations to visit in China but there are a few cities which are a must visit when in China. Although there are plenty of cities to visit in China the top cities in China are Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guilin and Hong Kong. |

One of the most important cities which is a must visit for any tourist in China is Shanghai. Shanghai is a magnificent city which has undergone sea changes in the recent past and has seen remarkable development in many parts yet many others parts of Shanghai has remained virtually unchanged. The Bund or the Zhongshan Road has remained unchanged and so has its famous waterfronts. Other attractions in Shanghai are its various temples and gardens. One also should visit the stunning Oriental Pearl TV Tower and visit one of the upper observation platforms to capture a magnificent view over the whole of the city.
The capital city of China is Beijing and Beijing is famous for it’s fantastic historical attractions with their beautiful surroundings. The Forbidden City is the largest and well looked after ancient city; it has the former palaces of the Ming and Qing Dynasties which today are museums with innumerable treasures. In Beijing one can make a trip to the Summer Palace. It is the most well preserved royal resort of Qing Dynasty and has a unique beautiful boat completely build of marble. Another major attraction is the Ming tombs and of course the Badling Wall or the Great Wall of China as it is popularly known as, it is the longest man-made architecture on earth. Xian is an ancient city; part of the city is surrounded by a wall. The top attractions in Xian are the Great Islamic Mosque, The Bell Tower, The Drum Tower and the Provincial Museum. During the ancient times Xian was capital city for 13 dynasties, totaling 1,100 years and was the world’s most prosperous city in Tang Dynasty, 1300 years ago. Here you will find the Terra Cotta Warriors which is a full-scale replication of the Qin Dynasty army. Also Banpo Neolithic village is a famous site of 6,000 years old which has typical features of a matriarchal society. One more attraction is the Goose Pagoda which is a fantastic example of stunning architecture. Another destination in China is Guilin, which is famous for its stunningly beautiful caves, which one can experience a cable car. At nigh in Guilin one would be able to watch the spectacular ‘Liu Sanjie'’ performance, which takes place on the Li River, just go head to Yangshuo if you is truly want to relax and enjoy. A top destination in not only in China but around the world by any standards is Hong Kong.
