One of the most famous and much hyped archaeological events in the world’s history is the discovery and excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb. This discovery unmasked the ancient secrets hidden up in the rooms piled high with precious jewels, golden artifacts and the shrine of the boy king named Tutankhamun that was kept preserved for thousands of years. This excavation has given rise to lots of curiosity, many a stories and an unknown romantic legend. Tutankhamun is believed to be ruling authority of Egypt between 1325 and 1334 BC.  He is regarded as the 12th ruler of Egypt's 18th Dynasty. The name Tutankamun was not given to him at his birth time; instead it was Tutankhaten which means “Living Image of the Aten, to make him follow his fatherly figure Akhenaten, the heretic pharaoh, whom he regarded the most. The most important secret underlying the Tomb is the death mystery of Tutankhamun. The causes of death are still quite unclear. Results obtained after conducting of forensic analysis of his wide popular mummy after breaking it up into many pieces and studying of seals made out of clay depicting the date of his ruling period reveals his demise at the age of 17 or 18 years.

Examination of Mummy displayed signs of his death reason., a dense spot at the lower back of the skull clearly  suggested his death was not because of any illness rather it can be a ‘possible murder’. The King Tut is a mummy now King still resting in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings that too preserved in a temperature-controlled glass case. As per the ancient myths, it is believed that the King will awake again and henceforth he is supplied with all essential commodities, accessories, food items like baskets of 3,000 year old fruit, pots of clay seals, clothing, jewelry etc.

Many famous archeologists are putting their efforts continuously to dig out the secret of death reasons of King Tut. The most renowned is Howard Carter, who has also presented the first ever image of king for the whole world to see. The tomb was also infamous for a long time owing to the mythical rumors of a "Curse of the Pharaohs" emphasizing early deaths of some of those who have entered or touched or worked on the tomb first.
