Brazil has a long coastline and Brazilian beaches a most sought after destination amongst all beach lovers. Brazilian beaches not only have beautiful white sands and cool turquoise bluish green waters but have a lot more in store for the tourist than just these ingredients. One can find themselves getting a gorgeous suntan or partying the night away on a Brazilian beach. Brazilian beaches can tempt anyone to become a beach bum. The long coastline of Brazil is also dotted with appealing cafes and water sports facilities. The coastline of Brazil goes from Rio Grande do Sul till Amapa and has more than 4.500 miles having all kind of beaches with oceanic water and Brazilian beaches can be enjoyed all year long.

 

 

One of the most famous beaches in Brazil is the Copacabana Beach; it is located in the southern area of Rio de Janeiro. One can enjoy the views of the historic forts in the background at this Brazilian beach which enhances the beauty of the beach. At Copacabana beach you can have loads of fun with fun games such as volleyball. Another important trademark is the Brazilian bikinis which are a permanent fixture at the Copacabana beach.  New Year celebrations at this beach are quiet popular and it bring together people of various nationalities, there are fireworks, music and dance till the early hours of the morning. Restaurants around the beach serve great food and are fun place to relax to.

In the Southern side of Rio de Janeiro there is the Ipanema beach. Although the Ipanema beach is a family beach, there is one particular stretch that is known as the Gay Beach, there is a flag to denote the same, Ipanema beach has a curious mixture of different cultures. While on Ipanema beach one can enjoy the white sand and games. While walking on the beach you can see people playing games such as beach volleyball, football or Swimming. The traditional drinks here are Cachaca and the Caipirinha, which along with beer are sold almost everywhere.

Another great beach is The Pipa beach, The Pipa beach is in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. The beach has fine white sand and towering cliffs that offer a gorgeous view of the entire surroundings. Pipa has a vast number of fine restaurants nightclubs that are run mostly by foreigners, one get to mingle with a more cosmopolitan crowd here.

Ponta Verde Beach is in Maceió in the city of Alagoas, it has the distinction of being the most frequented beach of Brazil because of the reefs which have tiny ponds that form during low tides. Another added attraction is a certain part of land that projects out of the sea and has a green cover.

Also in the city of Sao Sebastiao Toque, there is the Toque Grande beach. It is a small 300m long beach. If you prefer isolation this is the place to be, it is located on a isolated island, one can relax in solitude and scuba drive here.  One more beach in Brazil is the Jericoacoara Beach, it is famous for its spectacular views; it is located around 300 kms from Fortaleza.
