Thailand Beaches

 

Thai beaches come in all varieties, big, small, for the young or for the more sedate crowds, for people who like sunbathing and for those who want water sports and adventure. One thing they all have in common is they are all beautiful. If you are a beach lover then probably you’ll have a perfect holiday at any one of the beaches of Thailand. Thailand Beaches also have variety in their characteristics, like there are few gravel beaches, while some beaches have crude sand, some other beaches have fine sand, and the most common one are the beaches with yellow sand; however beaches with real white sand are not very common in Thailand.

 

 

Khao Lak is a wonderful beach in Thailand; it is located near the airport, the other more famous beach is the Phuket beach of Thailand, it is popularly known as the “Pearl of South”. The best season to enjoy Thailand beaches is from November to March. The Phuket beach is more popular and more crowded than any other beach of Thailand. The Khao Lak beach is surrounded by lush rainforest. Both these beaches are known around Thailand for quality fishing and scuba diving as waters are crystal clear; there are also many tourist attractions nearby to keep one busy.

Another beach paradise in Thailand is Phi Phi Don. Phi Phi Don has fine sandy beaches which give way to soaring limestone cliffs, this combinations is a treat for the eyes as the scenery is breathtaking. The beach has crystal clear water; there are no roads as such, thus providing a truly laidback and a relaxing beach destination. The said beach and the adjoining areas became a tourist hotspot after the Hollywood movie “The Beach” was shot here.  It has risen to popularity from then on and has become a popular destination for every tourist. There are also many secluded beaches around Phi Phi Don but are only accessible through long tail boats. Major attractions here is diving and snorkeling at Laem Thong and Hua Rah Ket. There are many dive companies offering all-inclusive trips for your enjoyment.

Railay is another of the most sought after beach of Thailand; it is situated south of Ao Nang Beach, and has a rocky headland and is accessible only by boat, It presents a tranquil and extraordinary world. The mode of travel here is the long tail boats; it is in actuality cut off from the rest of Krabi by limestone headlands and steep jungle valleys. There are four beaches here Ton Sai, Railay West, Railay East and Phra Nang which nestle between towering limestone cliffs. Three of the beaches, Railay West, Phra Nang Cave Beach and Railay East are connected by narrow footpaths winding around the base of the cliffs. There is no shortage of activities to keep you entertained here.
