Lubango

Lubango is a city in the southwestern Angola, about 100 miles (160 km) east of Namibe (formerly Moçâmedes), to which it is linked by rail. The city is surrounded by a scenic park spreading up the mountain slopes and was originally established in 1885 as a settlement for colonists from the Madeira Islands. There are beaches and natural sites in Lubango to indulge a visitor.

Lubango provides access to the beautiful beaches. En route, watch for the Tunda-Vala volcanic fissure where the view of a sheer drop to sea level is quite magnificient here you can climb to 2600km (1615mi) above sea level.
